Jeramy A. Smith, M.Div

FCA Area Director

Jeramy A. Smith is the Lake Norman Area Director for Mooresville, Davidson, Cornelius and Huntersville.  He will oversee FCA staff, board members, financial partners, and youth programs within these areas.

Jeramy shared that the reason he joined the FCA family is because, “our community lost a second student to suicide in 2022.”  “I recognized the repercussions of mental health on our students and FCA provides the mentors, teammates, and discipleship through the hope of Jesus to overcome the sadness that youth are facing today.”  When we started FCA in the community there was only one huddle and 45 students.  Now, we have 15 Huddles, 54 student leaders and serve over 350 students each week.

Jeramy is originally from Georgia, but came to our community four years ago by way of Miami, Florida.  He has over twenty-three years of youth development experience as a youth pastor, 4-H Agent and YMCA Director.  He has his Master Degree in Divinity from Mercer University.  In addition, he served three years as an officer with US Navy Chaplain ministering to Sailors and Marines and an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God.  He currently resides in Mooresville, where he is actively discipling athletes and coaches.

Jeramy enjoys the outdoors.  Frequently you will catch him hiking in the mountains or relaxing by the lake, fishing.  Most people do not know, but he loves swing dancings and he is passionate about teaching Bible Studies.

We currently have FCA Huddles at Lake Norman High, Mooresville High, Langtree High, Pine Lake Prep, Woodland Heights, Brawley Middle, Lakeshore Middle, Liberty Prep, Hopewell High, Hough High, Davidson College, South Lake Christian, Lake Norman Charter, FCA Home School, and Enzo Elite Gymnastics
