Russell

Rebekah has served in FCA Ministry for 15 plus years of teaching and coaching. She has taught high school math and coached softball and volleyball which she enjoys playing. Her children attend SouthLake Christian Academy.


She is married to Jason Russell. Together they have four children and several fluffy cute fur babies.


She serves the Huntersville/Cornelius areas

Dennis

Drennen

Dennis have been involved in people related vocations his entire adult life. In the secular world he was involved in sales and management. In ministry Dennis has worked with Young Life, The Beaver Falls Youth Network, Child Evangelism Fellowship, Presbyterian Evangelistic Fellowship, The Emergency Winter Shelter for Men, Geneva College and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.  He has taught English and Bible in private schools. 

He is married with two children and four grandchildren.


Dennis is an ambassador to Hopewell High School.

Jordan

Gealy

Jordan Gealy is our area representative from Davidson College.  He has been on the campus now for 5 years.   He values small groups and the rich conversations that help shapes and mold the faiths of our students.

Caleigh

Suddreth

Caleigh has served as FCA Captain of Lake Norman High and an FCA Summer Intern. She has wrestled for nine years and is an All American 3 time Women's State Champion. Caleigh will attend Appalachian State in the Fall 2024.

Kevin Nervegna

Board Chair

Kevin grew up in New York. He works as a financial advisor but has previous experience as a pit crew member for NASCAR team RCR. His children have attended Lakeshore Middle and are currently at Lake Norman High school. They participate in soccer, basketball and cross country.  Kevin is married with four children in middle and high school.  He enjoys witnessing how F.C.A. gives his teens the opportunity lead and develop their faith in Christ.  It is one of his driving factor to help F.C.A. expands it's reach into the community as chair.

Jason Wandersee

Jason an entrepreneurial executive that loves the challenge of building, growing, improving and fixing businesses. I’m not the inventor, but the guy who “makes it happen.”  With his skills set he  and his wife look forward to helping F.C.A. raise capital, develop ministry strategy, rally people around the FCA mission to lead every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Christ and the church.  He looks forward to seeing our board develop into a high performing team that is shaping the culture of Christ within our community.  It's a huge challenge but with Christ; all is possible!

Alison Wandersee

Alison works for Scientific Corporation, a medical technology company that develops, manufactures and commercializes devices for various interventional medical specialties. Her expertise lies in leadership development, organized structure and sales commercialization. 


With the above giftings, she is excited to team up with Fellowship of Christian Athletes to share her corporate experience

Lee Steinour

Lee works as the Digital Marketing Brand Manager of Ivester Jackson Christie's International Real Estate. Her children attend Lake. Norman High School, where they play basketball, tennis and golf. Lee also has experience competing in triathlons.


Lee is a wonderful communicator and assist with developing the character of the young ladies at Lake Norman High School as a character coach.

Sonya Bryd

Sonya works as a Preschool Director at Lake City Church where she has also served in the ministry. She has three daughters, the oldest recently graduated from CCTL. The middle child is homeschooled, where she participates in cheer and Acrofitness. The youngest is attending Statesville Christian where she participates in cross country and Acrofitness. 


Sonya is a community leader that enjoys orchestrating resources and her network to strengthen the impact and reach of Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Shane Bryd

Shane works as an educational quality specialist for Northwest Lineman College, where he specifies in training power lineman and evaluating other trainers.

He has 3 daughters with his wife Sonya.  Shane is gifted in discipleship and a longtime resident of Mooresville.  He loves that Fellowship of Christian Athletes is launching within the school and look forward to helping the organization recruit new talent to expand the scope of ministry within our area.

Chris Baker

An experienced banker with Well Fargo.  He enjoys organizing systems in the corporate world.  He is the leader of the Race City F3 Nation.  F3 is a community of men that gathers together for fellowship, fitness, and faith conversations. He is a community leader and love to network resources to impact the students, and families of Mooresville.  Chris is an accomplished writer and looks forward to utilizing his talents to expand the scope of FCA in our community.   He is married to Laura Baker with three children that graduated from Mooresville High School.

Laura Baker

Laura owns a small business in the office suite center. She also works as a court reporter and covers depositions and arbitrations across North Carolina. Laura have three adult children who all graduated from Mooresville High School. Two of the children participated in soccer and cross country and the third was cheerleader. 

Rachel

Rachel has been in education for 14 years, she currently serves as the Beginning Teacher Support Coordinator and District Recruiter for Mooresville Graded School District . Rachel's husband works as an Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at Mooresville High School, together they have two children in 3rd and fifth grade at MGSD. Their daughter participates in competitive dance and their son is involved in football, basketball, wrestling, and baseball.  Rachel loves giving back and using her talents to expand the Kingdom of God.  She is excited to use her giftings to help take F.C.A. to the next level.

Mimi

Gallagher

Mimi serves as a homemaker, she has three children who attended woodland heights, Brawley Middle and Lake Norman. Currently her children attend Appalachian State, NC State and AB Tech Asheville. While in High School her children played football, tennis and a little lacrosse.


Mimi is one of our character coaches that loves giving back to community and inspiring young women and athletes to love Christ more.
