Join Lake Norman FCA as we celebrate the incredible life and lasting legacy of Coach Ben Watson — a beloved mentor, Hall of Fame coach, and faithful leader in our schools and community. Coach Watson lived with purpose, pouring into the next generation with strength, passion, and perseverance. This 5K honors his dream to continue impacting students for Christ through FCA, even in the midst of his personal battle. All proceeds will support FCA growth in Mooresville, including staff expansion, Teen Center renovations, and scholarships for student camps. Lace up and run for something bigger — run for the legacy.

Coach Watson’s impact reached far beyond the mat, shaping thousands of lives through leadership, integrity, and service. This 5K is more than a race — it’s a tribute to a local hero and a fundraiser to grow Lake Norman FCA. Proceeds will support new staff in Mooresville, renovate the FCA Teen Center, and send students to FCA Leadership and Sports Camps. Run with us to carry Coach Watson’s mission forward.

Yes! Well-behaved, leashed pets that are both people- and pet-friendly are welcome.

Yes! This event is open to all experience levels — whether you're a seasoned runner or just starting out. Feel free to run or walk at your own pace.
Are strollers allowed during the race?
Yes! Strollers are welcome, as long as they’re sidewalk-friendly and can safely pass others without entering the street.
