The Lake Norman Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) Healthy Living Culinary Workshop is a six-week program that teaches student-athletes and coaches how proper nutrition, hydration, and meal preparation can improve athletic performance, recovery, and overall wellness. Through hands-on cooking instruction, sports nutrition education, and weekly scripture-based reflections, participants learn practical skills to build healthy habits that support success both on and off the field.
The program focuses on key topics including fueling for performance, endurance nutrition, muscle recovery, pre-game and post-game meals, balanced plate planning, and hydration. Lessons emphasize lean proteins, complex carbohydrates, healthy fats, and nutrient-rich foods while teaching simple meal-prep strategies that fit busy schedules. Each session incorporates biblical principles that encourage participants to honor God through healthy living and stewardship of their bodies.
